Course Description:
This dynamic and interactive training empowers social workers, counselors, advocates, and community professionals to move beyond theory and fully embody the social justice mandate within the NASW Code of Ethics. Through reflection, skill-building, and real-world application, participants will explore how to effectively recognize and challenge injustice at both individual and systemic levels. This session integrates direct practice insights with macro-level advocacy tools, ensuring participants leave with concrete strategies and renewed confidence to make ethical, justice-driven decisions in their everyday work.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the NASW Code of Ethics’ guidance on social justice and its relevance to daily practice.
- Explore both direct service and macro-level strategies for identifying and challenging injustice.
- Identify practical, real-life advocacy tools and ways to apply them in community and professional settings.
- Engage in reflective discussions and interactive exercises to deepen understanding and connection to ethical action.
- Build confidence in their ability to recognize, address, and challenge injustice in professional roles and community work.
All social workers who complete course get a certificate with 3 Ethics CE’s for their PA state license. You do not need to be a licensed social worker to sign up for this course.

Refund Policy — Embodying Our Code of Ethics: Challenging Injustices (CE Course)
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. Please review our refund and transfer policy before registering:
1. Refunds:
There will be no full refunds. A partial refund (50%) (minus a $10 processing fee) will be granted for cancellations made by emailing bo*****@**************er.com at least 72 hours before the training start date. There will be no refunds for any cancellations made within 72 hours before the training start date. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
2. Transfers:
Cancellations made within 4–7 days of the course start date may be eligible for a one-time transfer to a future session of the same training (space permitting).
3. Course Cancellations:
In the rare event that Kendra Van de Water must cancel the CE training, participants will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
